MATERIALS & CERTIFICATIONS

It guarantees to minimize environmental impact during the production process. The substances and raw materials used are verified, by a third party, before their use in a production chain. Instead of testing finisched products, the Bluesign® system is applied a priori.

The standard recognizes the importance of recycling for the growth of a sustainable production and consuption model, with the goal of encouraging the reduction of resource consumption and increasing the quality of recycled products.

It identifyes all those products that do not present any type of health risk. Each product is tested for substances prohibited by law, substances whose use is regulated by law, chemicals known to be harmful to health (but not yet regulated by law), and parameteres for safeguarding health.

It provides guidelines for establishing an environmental management system (EMS). The standard is a certifiable standard, that is attestations of compliance with the requirements it contains.

The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a nonprofit organization that promotes a holistic approach to sustainable cotton cultivation and production in 21 countries.

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) provides for the issuance of a third-party verified environmental declaration that attests to: the organic natural fibre content of both intermediate and finished products, the maintenance of traceability throughout the production process, restrictions on the use of chemicals, and compliance with environmental and social criteria at all stages of the production chain.
